Your allocation

If commitments exceed the raise target, the sale does not favor the first or the biggest wallets. One fill rate applies to every wallet:

fill rate = raise target ÷ total committed

The filled part of your commitment buys tokens. The rest comes back when you claim.

your tokens = tokens for buyers × your commitment ÷ total committed

your refund = your commitment × (1 − fill rate)

Everyone pays the same price per token, the raise target divided by the tokens set aside for buyers.

A sale offers 1,000,000 tokens to buyers and aims to raise 10,000 SUI. When the window closes, buyers have committed 40,000 SUI.

  • Fill rate: 10,000 ÷ 40,000 = 25%.
  • You committed 400 SUI, or 1% of the total.
  • You receive 1% of the buyers’ tokens: 10,000 tokens.
  • 25% of your 400 SUI was used, so 300 SUI comes back to you.

If the sale had raised exactly 10,000 SUI, the fill rate would be 100% with no refund.

A hard-capped sale stops at its target, first come, first served. Any part of a commitment that does not fit is returned in the same transaction, so the fill rate is 100% and there is no refund to claim. Every buyer still pays the same price per token.

If the sale was already oversubscribed before its hard cap began, it accepts nothing more, and everyone is filled at one fill rate as above.

Amounts round down to the smallest unit of each coin. The last wallet to claim receives the tiny amount rounding left behind, so nothing is lost. A preview shown before you claim may be a fraction of a unit lower than what you receive.

A sale can make buyers’ tokens vest. If it does, the sale page shows the terms before it opens:

  • a cliff, before which nothing unlocks;
  • a step, how often tokens unlock after the cliff;
  • a number of steps, after which everything is unlocked.

The cliff only holds tokens back. When it passes, every step that has already gone by unlocks together.

Your schedule starts when your claim lands, not when the sale ends. Your overflow refund is never vested and is paid at once. See Claiming.
